How do you think potential employers will view me, (failed year 1 at college)?

So I failed year 1 of my Economics degree at University, and had to do it again this year. I've just finished the exams again, and I'm sure I will pass this time. I've really been thinking about it, and I've decided I want a first class degree so I'm going to work towards that in the remaining 2 years of my degree, I think it's very feasible. I just need to pull my finger out and never let the work get on top of me. It's very possible, how do you think potential employers will view me in the future if they see me as a person who failed year 1, passed it the second time and went on to get a first class degree in Economics.
