My LG WM2455HG washer has an "UE" error. Help?

I'm assuming there was too much in the washer so it made it uneven to rotate but now there is a puddle of water in the machine and the blankets are soaked and smells. How do I get rid of the UE error that is still showing and if it is safe to wash after I remove the puddle of water? =o
