Are schools training for conformity?

I think that every teacher is different. There are teachers who try to force their own opinions down their students' throats and there are teachers who struggle to try and get their students to think for themselves and form their own opinions. No matter where you are or what you do, whether it be school/job or sports/hobbies, you will run into someone who will be offended by something you say or think. It's just the way some people are. I do not however, think that schools are training for conformity. In fact, teachers aren't even supposed to talk about their personal beliefs and ideology on things like politics and religion. Teachers are trained to encourage you to form your own opinions and beliefs, they're just there to give you the facts and information.
