Complex thesis on fast food?

For English class we're supposed to write a "cultural critique" on a subject of our choice. This means we choose something that is part of our culture and write about what it says about us. I want to write about fast food in America, but I need a complex thesis (a thesis that is not just stating the obvious and is debatable). I have one idea which is fast food shows that Americans are drawn towards conformity. Other ideas would be appreciated, especially ones relating to the factory farming part of fast food
