Is there a legal loophole to polygamy?

I mean when it comes to putting names on deeds couldn't me and say 2 or 3 other people put our names on a deed and write up a legal contract in case one of us wishes to part. Instead of a marriage ceremony we'd all just have a really awesome party. What wouldn't be feasible and why? This has nothing to do with sex.
