Why do people play the fake society game of conformity?

because often times there are rewards for conformity. if you conform you get accepted, people think you are nice, smart or whatever, and so on. also because conformity is sometimes more convenient than going out of your way to be different. I'm not saying comformity is best but it's certainly easier.
