Human bite on finger what do i do?

i got bit by someone on my thumb, i went to the doctor and got a shot, just in case bc u never no these days,neway, the doc gave me some antibiotics and send me home, he didnt even clean it just told me to use soap and water. well it is sore and the skin fell off after i soaked it like he said to do to get the blood out. so it looks bruised under my nail, the (small not deep for stitches) amount of skin fell off and it i very saw. is there nethin i can do at home to help the healing and cleaning process or should i go to the hospital
